Ken Skates AM visits the Factory
On the 27th of March, GL Jones Playgrounds received a visit from Deputy Minister for Skills and Technology Ken Skates AM. The visit followed the Wales Knowledge Transfer Partnership Awards in Nobember 2013, where the Deputy Minister awarded GL Jones Playgrounds, Grwp Llandrillo Menai and Joseph Ankers the award for Best Welsh KTP Partnership.
During the visit he was given a guided tour of the factory by our Manager Aaron Jones, where he met the team and even had a bit of a bounce on our new AbilityTrampoline!
Welsh Labour politician congratulated Coleg Menai, GL Jones Playgrounds Ltd and Joseph Ankers (the graduate whom Coleg Menai placed to work within the company) and said: “I was delighted to present GL Jones with their KTP award last November and I’d like to thank the company for inviting me to see the results of their highly innovative project with Coleg Menai.”
“I hope their success will be an inspiration for other Welsh businesses and academia thinking of becoming part of our Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme."
